Research Team: Programming of Fertility and Development
Place of Work: Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research, Polish Academy of Sciences
Keywords: Obesity, Leptin, Ovarian Function, Endocrine Disruption, Fertility
Research Focus:
My fascination with reproductive biology began during my undergraduate research on neonatal microflora acquisition and deepened through my MSc in Reproductive Biology and Clinical Embryology, where I studied human sperm cryopreservation. Currently, as a PhD student, my research explores how obesity-induced endocrine imbalances—particularly altered leptin signalling, affect ovarian function and oocyte quality. My goal is to uncover the molecular mechanisms linking metabolic dysfunction to impaired fertility. Feel free to get in touch at: yashaswishrm@gmail.com.
