The Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Agricultural Sciences began its operations on October 1, 2020, and educates doctoral students in four scientific disciplines: animal science and fisheries, food technology and nutrition, veterinary science, and agriculture and horticulture.
The School is jointly run by the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn (acting as a Leader), the Institute of Agrophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin, and the National Veterinary Research Institute in Puławy.
On March 16, 2020, the Directors of the three scientific institutes signed an agreement to establish and jointly operate the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of Agricultural Sciences.
InLife Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research, Polish Academy of Sciences
Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn
Our mission at InLife is to advance knowledge and develop innovative solutions in food, health, and reproduction for the benefit of people, animals, and the environment. We combine interdisciplinary research with societal engagement to address global challenges, promote well-being, and support sustainable development.

Institute of Agrophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin

Institute of Agrophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin
The interdisciplinary basic research conducted at the Institute of Agrophysics focuses on understanding mass and energy transport processes within the soil–plant–atmosphere system, as well as factors related to soil quality, the quality of plant-based agricultural raw materials, and their processing for food and energy purposes.
This research integrates knowledge from physics, physico-chemistry, and biology to address current challenges in agriculture.
Applied research is focused on developing and improving methods and devices for assessing and monitoring soil, agricultural plant raw materials, and gas emissions, as well as technologies for food production, biomass processing for energy purposes, and the creation of new biomaterials and bioproducts.
National Veterinary Research Institute, Puławy
National Veterinary Research Institute, Puławy
It conducts research in the fields of diagnostics, prevention, and control of infectious animal diseases (particularly zoonoses), as well as monitoring the safety of food of animal origin and animal feed.
Additionally, as a national reference laboratory, it provides expert supervision over laboratories performing official testing; prepares expert reports and opinions; offers postgraduate education and specialized training; organizes professional conferences; and promotes scientific knowledge through specialist publications.
