Place of Work: Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research PAS in Olsztyn
Keywords: insulin resistance, glucose uptake, myotubes
Research Focus:
Insulin resistance, characterized by a decreased biological response to insulin, is a condition that can lead to the development of many diseases, including type 2 diabetes.
In my research, I analyze the relationship between intracellular calcium flow regulation and the insulin sensitivity of skeletal muscles. My work primarily focuses on experimental studies, including skeletal muscle cell cultures, gene silencing, assessment of glucose uptake in myotubes, gene expression analysis using qPCR, and protein expression analysis using the Western Blot technique.
